Shoes

Yes, I did just call this post shoes.

But that is because I'll be making my own! :-D

When we were on our road trip, we went to Toronto. And in Toronto is one of the coolest museums ever. It's all about the history of shoes. So I got this REALLY, REALLY awesome book about people making designs on their own shoes and stuff.

As a birthday present to myself, I've decided to make a pair.

Today my mom and I are going to some craft stores to buy the stuff I'll need. And then later today, or sometime this week, we'll go find a pair of white Converse, and I'll possibly buy some different color laces, because just white would be boring!

And I'll wear them FOREVER! :-)

I'm also hoping that at school, people will like them. Maybe I can get some money out of it...?

I won't count on it, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

It might work better when I'm in high school, though.

But I'm starting to need the money... O.O

Once I'm done, I'll post pictures, but I'll give you my ideas right now.

Right shoe: Kind of piratey/Goth/punk. (Yes, I DO mean pirates. They ROCK and invented the original skull and crossed bones, which will be on it.) There'll be music notes and lots of black and skulls and some cool stuff like that.

Left shoe: The other one is sort of fairy tale like. It will, of course, be minimal pink. I don't really like pink much... But there'll be purple and some flower doodles and some trees, maybe a crown. BUT the words 'once upon a time' will be on it, because they rock! :-)

Ooooh!!! Good idea!!!! I am brilliant! LOL.

Because I love to write, the other shoe will be central around 'it was a dark and stormy night!'

I am so smart!!!!!!

They will be the ultimate teen, punk, author shoes!

And they will be MINE!! ALL MINE!!!

MUWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

Some time in September, I'm going to have a pre-Halloween party, with monster movies. Dracula and possibly Frankenstein, and MAYBE even Young Frankenstein.

My parents have some friends with this really big, blow up movie screen, that makes it sorta like a drive-in movie theater, so that is AWESOME. Gotta love the classics.

And for Halloween itself, even though it's on a Sunday, I'll invite some people over for a double sleep over. We can stay up really late on Saturday, and then we'll be tired after walking around all Sunday night, so we'll sleep, and then go to school in the morning.

Perfect plan!

My neighborhood ROCKS because Trick-Or-Treating is ALWAYS on Halloween NIGHT!!!

Most places just go on a weekend afternoon. We are so cool!

12 days until my birthday!

Tomorrow, I'm trying out for some plays with a monologue I wrote and "No Good Deed" from Wicked, which I saw last Wednesday for the THRID time. And I L-O-V-E it!!!!

I'm starting at 'What good is this chanting...' and end with the chorus, which is really fun to sing.

The monologue is from a previous camp, about a vampire with some problems controlling her charge, Benedict.

If I get published, look out for the second book! You'll meet Illiana and Benedict then!

And I have no voice... This is the SECOND day now! So I'll probably stay home most of the day again. Hopefully I can still walk Lincoln, one of our neighbor's dogs. He so cute! And sweet, and funny. He's kind of like my cat in dog form, but friendly. To everyone. And always his owners.

Today was kinda boring, but what ever.

The first forensics meet is on Sunday. I'm so nervous! I finally memorized the intro, but it's still gonna be torture. I'm in the same room as two people I know, and it's the piece from chapter 3, of my book. Eek!

Well, at least after Infublo and I get a sleepover, cuz no school on Monday! Hooray for President's Day!

Shakespeare

So, yeah. Now it's the weekend.

Today class was so awful! (My Shakespeare class, that is.) Brian, our teacher, the GOOD teacher, wasn't there, for perfectly legitimate reasons, but still... So we had a sub. It was NOT fun.

Nothing new, I don't think...

Oh! My camera was so evil. When I was in Paris over winter break it died, except it started to die earlier than I thought it did! When we went to the opera house (the Phantom of the Opera one) it messed up all the pictures!!!!!! >:-( I'm so MAD!!!!!!!!! Phantom is the BEST!!!!!!

For English our journal this week was to write a story about this picture(sorry it's sideways), using at least 5 sentence openers, since we just did a unit on those. Did I write in my opener from the test? I don't think I did.

For the last question on the test we were supposed to write the longest opener we could think of. Mine was 47 words.

Making the most awful sound, rustling through the leafless trees, to fly though the busted window panes by the front door, to rip at our clothes, tear at our hair, making the portraits of the dead that hung on the walls look even creepier, the wind howled.

That's just a little description that I might play with for my book.

I had another showing of the play today, my parents came. Then my mom had to go to D.C. on business.

Today I was so bored. I watched Psych, Doctor Who, Bones, and part of Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window. To see if I liked it, I wanted to start watching part of the BBC show Demons, but my dad made me turn the TV off.

I'm almost done with chapter 6 in my book. (FINALLY!!!!!!) And I think that's about it...

Oh! I got a new toy. Since my camera died over winter break, when I was in Paris, I finally got a new one yesterday. I need to start playing with it. And I need to upload and fix up, in photo shop, my vacation photos. Even though they'll mostly end up on the other blog, I'll add some, and link the rest.

I even want to change the picture behind my other blog's title to some properly British red phone booths. (Although I wouldn't object to photographing and adding a little blue police box... ;-])

Our hard work has paid off!!! Tomorrow there will be two showings of the play.

God I hate my costume.

Then there'll be a show on Sunday, then on Monday... Then again on Tuesday. Then we're done. (I hope.)

Tomorrow is a half day, so my mom is gonna take me and Infublo to lunch. (I think that was bad grammar... I hope my English teacher(s) doesn't (won't) read that.)

This week I had an English test, a lit test, and two FL tests... Just today were one FL test and the lit test...

Today we finished off the business letters that we had started on... I think Tuesday..?

And I was also sick on Wednesday. Didn't miss much.

On Monday our grade has a Bat Mitzvah, so no school. On Friday we have the first showings of the play, so next week I won't have much time, cuz I'll get home so late from practice. Since Friday is a half-day (Don't remember why.) I won't really go to class, because we're doing at least three showings, and it's almost an hour.

On Sunday I'm sleeping over at Infublo's house, so she can take me to the Bat Mitzvah, so I'll try and have her post.

P.S. We've been talking about how awesome it would be to have one of my book characters, Thanatos Whispers, or James Ward (His human name.) come to our school. He'd be so fun! Even though admittedly he'd pretty much live off in his own little world, he's the god of the DEAD! It would just be cool. And it'd be kinda funny to have a kid with colonial style hair coming to our school. (Complete with hair ribbon tying it back... ;-P)

Um.. I finished my science project (Cell Model). Um... We had a party in RS, where we watched a really stupid movie... Umm... Yeah, that's about it. Pathetic. Oh, test in FL. Not really hard.

Week One

HA! I have survived the first week of school! Against all odds, I did it! YAY! So, let's review the week, shall we...

I started school on Monday. I got a cut from a staple, organized my locker, met the new kids, decided I didn't like the math teacher, decided I didn't like most of the kids in the grade below me, and found out that all my classes would be with Infublo.

Tuesday. Not much happened. We learned a bunch of new things in Social Studies, found out I lost my Foreign Language book from last year, got the Lit book, and started a new thing in Religious Studies.

Wednesday. Still not much. We were in the Computer Lab for math, started on some interesting things in English. That night I finished the Lit book. :-) I LOVE The Outsiders! It's SOO GOOD! And so freekin' SAD!!!!! I cried for the last 30 pages!

Thursday. I wasn't feeling well, so I left at recess. Missed..? Not much.

Friday, today. Yay! The end of the week! Started our JJJs in Religious Studies (No, I'm not going to tell you what it stands for.), not fun. We had our first Health class of the year. Darn. Hate that freekin' teacher. YAY! Weekend!

Hooray, weekend! Hopefully, I'll get one, or two, good photo-shoots in this weekend.
