Garfield

Shakespeare and Garfield together! Hooray!

(Yes, I know I'm very late in posting this.)

Well, what ever. I'll try to post something interesting tomorrow.

Cheerio, peeps.

And who are you?

A bowl of empty,
a glass of full.

A box of nothing,
a bag of all.

A chair for no one,
a stool for them.

If I am no one,
then which one of them are you?

Well, this just turned out amazingly. I really like this one! And, yeah, it's another couplet one, although lately I have been doing quart-somethings... Lines of four!
Anyway, yeah, I like this one.

Lately I've been working on some interesting characters, Nithanda, Starr, and Leo. They're all from my current book, they're some of the stars. And all girls, even Leo.

Nothing much new. Tomorrow we get to talk with another author, on Skype, this time. Yay!
yeah, every year our English teacher gets an author to come to our school, so this is the SECOND one this year! We're talking to Rodman Philbrick.

Yeah, pretty much it.

Cheerio, peeps.

A Vampire

A glitter of white.
Sharp
fresh
cold.

A shimmer of night.
Black
dark
frozen.

Twelve.
The middle.
The center.
A line.

Circling.
Spiral.
Straight.
Curved.

A shimmer.
The shine.
The dark.
The light.

Darker...
darker...
darker...
Different.

Just in case anyone is wondering, when ever I write a poem, the title of it is always the post title.

And now, poetry commentary...
I KNOW it doesn't make any sense! And I KNOW the patterns of this one are off. I just kind of like it. But, really, don't ask.
I just felt like writing something off. And I just think this one works for the vampire change. My version, anyway.
And no, they don't sparkle.

My vampires:
YES-
drink blood, any kind.
garlic affects them.

Well, anyway...
Garlic works, they don't like it. Can eat and get energy from human food. But it tastes pretty nasty. Cold, hard. Can go out in sun, don't burn. DO NOT SPARKLE! Don't sleep. They point and laugh at crosses. Drink any kind of blood.

Pretty much it for now.

So not much happened at school today, but that's ok.

Cheerio, peeps!

P.S. SPRING!!!!!!!!!!! <3

P.P.S. I am now completely in love with Death Note. I read 2 and 3 in two days. Now I'm waiting for 4, 5, and 6 to get to the library.

P.P.P.S. I REALLY hope I got into the play! (It's a Shakespeare play, over the summer.)

Happy Pi Day!

Yum!

Pie is yummy. Although, to quote myself, specifically one of my characters, "Numbers make my head hurt!"
That's Vampier, in case you're wondering.

And I have no voice... This is the SECOND day now! So I'll probably stay home most of the day again. Hopefully I can still walk Lincoln, one of our neighbor's dogs. He so cute! And sweet, and funny. He's kind of like my cat in dog form, but friendly. To everyone. And always his owners.
My cat's not a people kitty.
:-(

So, ANYWAYS, back to the point of this post, yay for pie.
My mom and I'll probably get some later.

Cheerio, peeps!

Death Note

Graphic novel: n. (grAh-fic nahvel) the literary term for a comic book.

Well, that's my definition, anyway. So, I just recently started reading Death Note... And I LOVE it! I read the first one in about a day, or so. And then I put the next two on hold at the library. And immediately started reading the first one again.
I'm surprised. I never thought I'd like manga. No offense, Cranberry, or anyone else who likes manga, but I find a lot of the stories to be pretty stupid. But Death Note's really good!

Since I'm home sick today I just need to convince my parents to get them from the library, since they just came in.

Cheerio, peeps.

Lonesome

Standing in the fog
waiting...
waiting...
waiting.

For nothing?
For something.

The swirling mist,
the white of fog.

Coldly...
shimmering...
white.

Waiting...
waiting...
waiting.

Alone in the fog.

Just a little bored. While my parents were at conferences I was hanging out by myself and I went outside for a little while. It's been really foggy the last few days, and I have to say I love it. Fog is great.
So, I was hanging around by myself in the extremely quiet fog, and I had some good views and I just liked the peacefulness.
Alas! If only there was more fog to be had!

Although I guess people who drive wouldn't be very happy! (I don't need to worry about that for a few more years.)

Cheerio, peeps.

P.S. This was inspired a little bit by Stargirl, by Jerry Spinelli, which we're reading for lit. (Although I finished!) and Love, Stargirl, which I just finished reading.
They were both really good. Even though they were pretty sad, they had a nice bitter-sweetness. I really loved them, Stargirl especially!

Eeeeeewwwwwwww!

Crunchy, dried, dead bees. We had to glue them to sticks in science this morning.
It was absoloutly disgusting.
We're supposed to pollinate our plants with them. We're doing a unit on that stuff.

Anyway, tomorrow conferences start, so half-day tomorrow and no school on Thursday. Yay!

Pretty much it...

And now I need to go to bed.

Cheerio, peeps.
